Unpopular opinion - you only need 1 type of wine glass

The way to drink good wine boils down to one simple thing

Welcome! 👋

Manufacturers have spent billions to convince wine buyers and aficionados alike that you need all sorts of fancy glasses to enjoy wine.

Not true.

In fact, you need just one.

Even when drinking fine champagne.

A huge portion of the wine experience comes from the smell, so my preference is a glass with a wider bowl, allowing you to swirl the champagne and appreciate the aroma better.

Sure, a flute is great to maintain the fizz and prevent your hand from warming it up too quickly, but the bowl is where the magic happens and is designed to release and collect aromas right under your nose, literally.

If you want to have a full sensory experience with Champagne, then go for a white wine glass and savour the flavour.

Meanwhile, the Dom Pérignon 2013 I told you about recently is selling quickly.

It wasn't just a top seller at the start of the month, it was the most-traded Champagne throughout the entire year of 2023.

The region came in third with 17.2% of trade, a significant improvement from the previous week’s 12.8%.

Call us if you’d like to know more about Dom Pérignon (or some of the other fine champagne vintages).

As usual, thanks for reading.

I’m so glad you’re here.

Cheers,

P.S  Who knew a humble Benedictine monk's dedication to improving the abbey's wine could lead to a drink enjoyed by celebrities and royalty worldwide? Thanks Dom Pérignon. We owe you!
